ABOUT ME
MY STORYI am a dance instructor, performer, choreographer, and model with 20+ years of experience. Born in Colombia, raised in New York, and currently based in the DMV, I was lucky to have gained exposure to many diverse cultures, styles, and artistic expressions.
My core focus is salsa and bachata, however my background also extends from hip hop to heels, ballroom, and all other latin dances.
I love working with individuals from diverse paths of life. Aside from teaching beginners and intermediate-level dancers, I also coach performance teams, and work with weddings, charities, and corporations. I especially enjoy working with children of all ages, including those with special needs.
My experience involves working with organizations in the NBA and NFL, as well as Under Armor, Goodwill, Montgomery Parks, the DC Mayor’s Office, and the Colombian Embassy.
I have also taught dance, performed for, and engaged with large events at some of the world’s top consulting, accounting, and legal firms. Aside this, I am proud to be the founder and choreographer of three salsa performance teams: La Femme (ladies), Son Caleño (Colombian), and Salsa Fusion.
Through my teaching I try to spread awareness of issues particularly close to my heart such as domestic violence, health, and substance abuse.
I am a native spanish and english speaker, and can also communicate in french. In my free time, I love photography, reading, and being in nature!
